iPhone 4 Antenna Problems? No Problem - Just Get An iPhone 4 Case - Technology - Cell Phones

There have been reports, literally thousands upon thousands of reports from customer regarding their iPhone 4 signal issues. The issues that everyone is reporting have to do with a total loss of signal and data service on the iPhone 4 while browsing the internet or making a call, and in some cases when the phone is just sitting and not in use.

Everything seems to point to the way you use your iPhone, or more specifically, the way you hold your iPhone. The iPhone 4 reception issue. As silly as it may sound, and as hard to believe as it is, it is unfortunately very true.I use my iPhone 4 more than the average cell phone user, some days spending up to 6 hours on the phone with customers, clients and friends. When the iPhone 4 is held in the most natural way in your hands, there is a complete and total loss of all signal from the antenna and even data is not available. The signal strength goes from full signal right down to just one single bar, or worse, no signal at all with the searching message and a dropped call as your end result.

Apple has been slow to address this issue, stating only that holding it in this way will show a drop in your signal, and that the signal bar issues will be fixed in an upcoming software update, and have to do with the signal strength not actually being correct. While it bugs me to no end to thing that this is the only reason for dropped calls in an excellent signal area on the iPhone 4, it is sadly the only thing Apple has said about the matter.

There is a quick fix out there for this issue, and it has to do with having an iPhone 4 case on your iPhone. With a case on your iphone 4, you can hold the phone in any way you want, and your signal simply will not drop.It is just another prime example that there is some truth to the rumours about bad designs or the wrong materials being used for the iPhone 4 itself. As a result of always getting a case for my gadgets, and the iPhone 4 case I bought was purchase the day I got my iPhone 4, I have had no issues with dropped calls or poor signal strength.it's certainly a very costly piece of technology, so spending a measly $10.00 - $20.00 on a good looking, and more important - a protective case just seems like good old common sense to me. I definitely don't want to put dents or bumps on my iPhone 4, but I can't help but be bothered by this issue that has gone away since I put the iPhone 4 in a case, because the issue shouldn't be there to begin with.

Gizmodo states that Apple may in fact be doing some type of a silent or unannounced recall on the iPhone 4 with certain customers.Swapping out their iPhone 4 with a new one from Apple, and as such, the signal and antenna issue does not seem to be a problem on the swapped out iPhone 4's.It's very important that I state that this recall that everyone is talking about is currently just speculation and no more than a rumour. However a number of buyers have said that this issue is just not there on their replacement iPhone 4 units. While others continue to have a problem, unless of course, they put their iPhone 4 back in an iPhone case again.
