Issues, Concerns, Problems about the iPhone 4S
Nobody is perfect, and nothing is either.
Yes, even your iPhone 4S is not perfect, and you have to agree with that. Just recently, Apple has been marred with complaints about some minor issues about their recently launched iPhone 4S.
The iPhone 4s, which is just about a few weeks old had its share of ups and downs straight from its users. Here's some:
Flaws with Siri
Apple's new voice, Siri was built-in the iPhone 4S to make mobile life easier for iPhone users. Using Siri, iPhone users can now just tell her (Siri uses a female voice) about the task and she will do it like a humble servant.
But not everything about Siri is cool. Siri actually has a number of flaws that may be due to its being in Beta form.
1. Security Concern
Many are worried about the fact that just by pressing the home button; a person can now send texts, emails, make calls and request calendar information through Siri. This is all without having to unlock the home screen using a passcode.
2. Siri's Problems Understanding Thick Accents
A lot of iPhone users who have thick accents are complaining about Siri not being able to understand them. They say that if Siri is offered to every iPhone user, it should be smart enough to understand each and every one of them.
3. Siri 'cannot connect to network'
Siri is undeniably smart and she is very efficient. However, if Siri is not connected to the internet or to some network, she might just be useless.
This is because Siri is linked to Apple's database, servers and to sites on the internet. This just means that Siri can only answer questions that can be available in the phone's data. Also, Siri is not able to do tasks that require the aid of the internet.
Siri is still in its Beta form. That is why Apple said that they might install some updates for Siri during an iPhone user's next software upgrade. In the meantime, iPhone users must be patient.
Relocation of Parts
1. Mute Button
This is actually not so complicated. The mute button was just a tiny space away from its original place back in the iPhone 4. This is why most accessory makers had to redesign their cases to fit the small changes with the iPhone 4S.
2. Proximity Sensor
Not only was the mute button slightly relocated, the proximity sensor was too. The only problem the user will encounter is that he or she is still using a case that was meant for an iPhone 4.
Since there are small and seemingly unnoticeable changes on the iPhone 4S parts, users are encouraged to buy or use cases that are meant for the iPhone 4s to avoid any dysfunction.
Short battery life
The iPhone 4S actually has better power than the iPhone 4. But because it has Siri and other amazing features that eat up a lot of energy, it might just have shorter battery life.
According to Apple, the battery life of the iPhone 4S will depend upon how the person is using it. So if you use all the features of the iPhone 4S quite frequently, you should learn the tips of how to save and extend your battery life.
Yellowgate
Yellowgate is the term used to describe what seems to be the yellowish tint that can be seen in an iPhone 4S display. Despite using the stunning Retina Display that can also be found on the iPhone 4 and the iPad 2, the yellowgate surfaced in the screens of some iPhone 4S.
Apple confirmed that if problems like this occur, they should be contacted in their nearest store available.
The iOS 5 Error 3200
Probably the worse complaint (but the easiest to be solved) about the iPhone 4S so far, is the iOS 5 Error 3200. It hit hundreds of thousands of iDevice users who attempted to update all their iDevices - iPods, iPads and iPhones - to iOS 5.
According to Apple's support pages a 3200 error is caused by "a network-connectivity or traffic issue." The Cupertino-based company advised: "If you see this error, wait an hour or more and try again."
Problems, issues and other concerns about the iPhone 4S are said to be still minimal and less serious that the iPhone 4. However, Apple should still focus on these problems before the effects backfire. Prevention is still better than the cure.
